WIRED 1 is still available but is nor longer supported.
It was used by several experiments, including the CHORUS and DELPHI experiments at
CERN.
WIRED 2 was a prototype made for the
ATLAS experiment at
CERN.
Many of its features are included in WIRED 4.
WIRED 3
is basically the follow up on WIRED1. It uses both HepRep
and WIRED1 internal representables to store the data. It was in active use by the
BaBar,
GLAST and the LCD
detector study at SLAC. WIRED3 is used for
GEANT4 and also runs as a plugin module in JAS version 2.x.
